Expect to be able to read small print for short periods of time
Expect to be able to see distance to drive, but not crisp like glasses
Expect not to feel off balance, where with both eyes open, one eye seems to see better than the other. If you test them individually which we don’t recommend doing, you will see much better in one eye than the other
Expect to be able to put reading glasses over them to achieve whatever near vision you are lacking
Expect to be able to see at near, but not crisp like glasses
Expect to have some strain when reading for 5 straight minutes or more
Expect your night vision to be worse than day vision; ask about driving glasses for when you are in the car at night time or going to the movies that can be placed directly over the contact lenses to give you crisp vision in the car at night.
Expect very tiny images to blur together
Expect to be able to do things without glasses, but not perfectly – these only give the ability to go without glasses, not to go PERFECTLY without glasses
Expect to make the transition between your distance and near vision easily with no “lag” time in focus
What you CAN’T expect
expect to be able to read fine print for extended periods of time
expect vision to be as crisp as glasses
expect not to need eyeglasses over the contacts (special prescription) for night driving or going to the movies (things in the dark)
to get great near vision without giving up just a touch of distance vision
