ADVANCED DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES UTILIZED FOR YOUR EYE EXAMINATION

The never ending struggle to go "paperless" continues at Dr. Glazier’s office with brand new office software and networking capabilities. We continue to stay at the forefront of technology in the eye care industry.

We utilize a technology called Frequency Doubling Perimetry (FDP), a very quick and simple method of screening for subtle, progressive eye disease that may be diagnosed before it would have been apparent in a general eye examination. The FDP is extremely important for patients who have vision changes, family history of eye disease (specifically cataract or glaucoma) or have one eye significantly worse than the other.

We offer testing on our new Digital Eye Computer (DEC). Testing on the DEC is considered part of your annual eye examination and there are no additional charges. The DEC allows the doctor to refine your eyeglass and contact lens prescription and lessens the amount of decision making the patient has when answering the most annoying of eye doctor questions "better 1 or better 2?". We also have incorporated "no air puff" glaucoma testing into every examination No anticipation, no shocking puff!

Our Med Mont Corneal Topographer, a device which custom-maps the surface countours of your cornea, allows for more healthy, accurate contact lens fittings and assists in improving the odds of successful LASIK and other surgical procedures.
